Corbus is an acronym of core business and business law. Our passion is law, in particular business law, and our approach is pragmatic and based on achieving solutions.
Our objective is clear: find solutions which really do strengthen your company or organisation. It is a process where we always start out by looking at things from your perspective. We enjoy investing in long-term relationships so that we can be sure what your real priorities are.
Corbus aims at being the number one reference in its local market, as reliable legal partner for the entrepreneur and the enterprising institution.

For businesses, government and private individuals
Companies, governments and private individuals are often confronted with property and administrative law, even if they would rather avoid it. Corbus, however, can rely on many years of experience in property and administrative law. For example, Corbus has been the trusted advisor to the largest estate agent franchise in Belgium for many years, as well as a number of well-known construction companies and property developers.

ICT developments, especially the Internet, raise new legal issues on a daily basis, hardly surprising since the legal framework has not yet taken it into account. Corbus can lead you through the minefields of the digital world, whether you are a start-up or an established business. We can offer you efficient support, so you can make the most of all the opportunities available.
Protection does not have to be expensive or complicated
The value of many companies lies in their intellectual property, in other words their intangible assets. Despite this, many Belgian businesspeople worry about applying for a patent or trademark protection because they think that the protection of intellectual property is complicated or expensive. Corbus will be more than happy to help you safeguard the economic value of your business name, logo, product, slogan etc.
For employers and employees
Individual labour law governs the employment relationship between employers and employees, while collective labour law governs the relationship between employee representative bodies and employers. Whether you are looking for advice or procedural information in either area, Corbus can help you.
Mediation: a proper alternative to resolving disputes
Litigation is not always the best option for you or your organisation. Mediation focuses on restoring communication and safeguarding the relationship, whether it be commercial or otherwise. It differs in that the decision rests with the parties themselves, because mediation is based on voluntary and confidential talks under the supervision of an impartial mediator. When mediating, Corbus always strives to achieve quick and lasting solutions.
Are you looking for legal advice for activities outside Belgium, or do you have a dispute abroad? Thanks to our extensive experience, we have built up good personal relationships with many mid-sized law firms both in Europe and beyond.
For example, Corbus is the Belgian partner in e-iure, a network of business-orientated law firms spread over Europe, the USA, South America, Asia and Australia. Partners in this network collaborate actively and share each other's expertise, thereby ensuring that they are also able to offer excellent international services.
The ranges in the clothing market are vast and the competition is strong. Assortments from different suppliers and retailers sometimes show remarkable similarities. The fashion sector is one of the biggest victims of counterfeiting in the non-digital market. Fortunately, clothing designs are more than once susceptible to intellectual property protection, so that the beneficiaries are not left in the cold.
When and how will its new clauses come into effect? And what about the current shareholder agreements?
